The Lears have been among Byrdsy Folk Rock Garage fans for a long time. The St. Petersburg, 90s Florida-based group led by Sixties enthusiasts Dennis Dalcin and Paul Mutchler released three 7"s including this one released in 1995 and later on (1998) an album published by Get Hip Records. Their unique mix of 12 Strings Rickenbacker guitars and dreamy harmonies not only followed the main inspiration of The Byrds circa 1966 but explored the Psychedelic Country rock phase and was even enriched by echoes of Powerpop at times.
All their recordings are highly recommended and surely you'll soon be discovering other adventures (fanzine, record label) by Dennis Dalcin, another member of our "transworld garage family" that has done a lot spreading the Sixties music during the 80 & 90s. Watch out for his latest retrospective on Kool Kat Music from 2021.
