The Flashback V from Barcelona were one of the coolest bands in Europe during the 90s. In 1993 these four songs were recorded but lasted unreleased for about three years before coming out as a 7" EP on Misty Lane Records. Their frantic Sixties UK beat/Freakbeat formula was pretty unique while most of the bands around the middle of the decade was obsessed mostly by US Garage Punk." Where Is Wally?", penned by the group, was of course dedicated to The Outsiders singer Wally Tax and "I Have Seen A Woman" that closes the EP is another great original tune by them. The Flashback V cover of The Red Squares' "You Can Be My Baby" is a winner, as well their rendition of "It Takes A Long Time Comin'".
Thirty years since these four songs were recorded they still represent a magnificent example of the high standard of certain mid 90s "Garage" bands that unfortunately is getting quite rare nowadays.
