One of the early 7"s on Teen Sound records (released in 1998) that went sold out within months. Jens Lindberg is surely known as one of the prime mover of the Swedish Garage scene since themed-80s. He's been in countless great bands as The Crimson Shadows, The Stomach Mouths, Mongrels, Satans Little Helpers, The Highspeed V, The Maggots and finally The Hymen Of Tongues and The Maharajas, who both had their debut records on Misty Lane / Teen Sound. Not only Jens continues to be very active playing live but he's a proficient composer with many releases out in the past two decades with The Maharajas. That said if you look onto Discogs it'll appear that he only released one record as himself, this one. This EP along with The Hymen Of Tongues and the debut 10" of The Maharajas demonstrates Jens incredible capacity in writing, especially, moody Garage-Folk tunes. In the early 90s there's be certainly an underground "trend" and many Garage Punk bands got hooked by Dark-Moody-Folk melodies strongly influenced by New England sixties groups. Add a deep love for haunting melodies and for the classic sound of the Farfisa Compact organ and you'll understand a large part of Jens' recipes. This EP is also graced by the collaboration with late 90s/early 2000's best act,The Strollers who became thee best Swedish act real fast. If Moody Garage Folk is what you're looking for this might be the next title of your want-list,along with The Hymen Of Tongues and The first Maharajas (if you can find'em...). Fear not Mr. Lindberg, you've done EVERYTHING right.
