about

In the year 2000 Misty Lane organized an historical festival in Rome, Italy. It was held at La Palma venue, nowadays called Monk. B-Movies, record stalls, DJs vintage cars and bikes and an ongoing restaurant and bar since the early afternoon 'til late at night...an exciting time was had by all. After all it was the only Garage-only Festival ever organized in Rome.
People came all the way from northern Europe, the U.K. and even the 'States.
It was a very hot weekend of late May and between the many bands on stage there were the legendary sixties Garage-Psych The Chocolate Watchband, for the very first time in Europe since their break-up (the 1967 classic line-up); The Thanes from Scotland, kings of The European scene since the late 80s led by beat hero Lenny Helsing, THE OTHERS with Rudi Protrudi of The Fuzztones and Craig Moore of GONN, Tony Borlotti e i suoi Flauers, Bradipos IV , Link Quartet, The Rookies (Italy's Folk Garage pride between the end of the 90s and early 00s) and, for the very first time ever on stage, a side-project band of Massimo del Pozzo: The Time Society! (moody sixties Folk Punk, New England style). Other acts appeared on stage during the two nights, 12 bands in all!
Two of the four tracks on this EP were released elsewhere, except for the Chocolate Watchband alternate version of "Let's Talk about Girls" (originally written by The Grodes) and The Rookies "Wait Till The Summer", a moody folk punker penned by The Illusions from Michigan.
This limited edition 7" EP was given away to the 700 people who attended the Fest, the remaining copies are now kinda rare, so grab one if you find it!
